We left from Las Vegas on Thursday evening, heading down to California, and arriving there some time before midnight, (after getting lost the last 3 miles of the drive lol).
We came down the night before so that we could get some rest before the exhibit opened up at 10:00am.

In the morning, we headed to the exhibit. The first thing you see when you pull in is a wall full of banners, advertising the "The Collection of The King of Pop Michael Jackson Property from the Life & Career of Michael Jackson."

Once you park your car, you see a collection of some of his cars, golf carts, mini racer type cars, and a fire truck.

As you make you way into the area, the first things you see is an incredible collection of garden statues, and items from Neverland, including clocks and signs. Completely fascinating to see the range of small to very huge items. Lots of breathtaking animals, and unique children statues.

When you are ready to go into the main area, you had to go up the steps, and immediately you see the gates of Neverland!

By the front entrance their was one of his limos, a cop motorcycle, and a tour bus. You were actually able to go inside the tour bus and sit down and take pictures in it, which we did! The bus was pretty cool, it had gold everywhere including the bathroom. It had a huge flat screen TV, and a more private VIP seating area. One of the guards told us that he used that tour bus to travel to Las Vegas before.

As you head for the main entrance, there's nothing but red carpet everywhere. Immediately when you walk in you are in complete awe!

Huge Banners of Michael in concert, and some videos, hang everywhere. Mannequin's in police style costumes, that we think were from the history tour, that some of the dancers wore, were near the front entrance. In the glass case next to it is the King Crown, that seemed to be from the photo shoot when he was dressed in Royal type wear.

There was all kings of jewelry, gloves, pants, records, pictures, you name it everywhere. Everything was displayed very nicely, and organized into sections. There was a furniture section, a costumes section, a record and awards section, a games section, and a collectibles section.

You really needed to be there for hours to truly appreciate all the items in his collection. It was truly amazing!

While we were there this day we meet up with other fans. Some we had met before and some new. Once the exhibition had closed at 6:00pm, we all had decided to go together and swing by Michael's place.

Once we got there we were amazed at how huge his place was, and we walked along the side to see how huge it really was. There was still sunlight outside, when we heard classical music playing from the house, and took a few pictures as we waited for a chance to see Michael.

As time flew by, as it usually does when you get together with other fans lol, we greeted the guards each time as they open the gates. It was now night time, and at least 2 hours had passed since we had first arrived there.

Suddenly a lot of activity started to happen! The gates opened and the guards asked us nicely to move slightly over to the side. You could tell by the look on their faces Michael was coming!

We all lined up as Michael's car pulled right up next to us! He rolled down the window partially and put his hand out, and embraced all of us who wanted to hold his hand! It was only a short time but felt like a lifetime! He had his hat on with a towel or something over it, and his mask. We think he had just come from rehearsing for his upcoming tour. Anyway some us were excited and in shock lol, and others you could tell were already use to it all lol!

After his car went in they closed the gates back. One of his guards came back out to give some of the fans back their items that Michael had personally signed. Michael is so good to his fans, you can't help but love and respect him!

This was the perfect ending to a perfect day. As you could imagine it was hard to sleep after!

*PART 2* Our 4/25/09 report on our trip to Michael Jackson's Exhibition in Beverly Hills


We were a little bit more organized by the second day, and got off to an early start. Headed down to best buy first, to by a bigger memory card to take more pictures lol. This was to our second day going to the exhibit, and it was also the last day that his things would be on display.

When we got there, we noticed they had already started to take some of the cars, and put them away early in the morning. So we headed upstairs to the main area, and greeted some of the employees we had saw the day before. Everyone there was so nice, and knew a lot about Michael's things. If we had a question they pretty much knew the answer, and they even volunteered info without us asking. One of the guys had even given us a souvenir "press pass" at no charge, since he knew we were big fans.

When you walk in, (again), its like the first time really, cause its all so amazing. You really could not look at all of Michael's things in a short time. There were so many things. The first day we spent a lot of time taking pictures, in the front area where his costumes, jewelry and awards were. "This time around," we had to cover all the rest of the sections, which seemed impossible to do within 6 hours or so. There were so many things and we wanted pictures of it all, if we could.

Michael has a fascinating collection of books, and arcade style games, which you will see in our picture collection.

While we were there on this day Miko Brando (who we think was head of security on MJ's security team) and Frank Dileo (was MJ's manager) showed up! It was pretty cool, and we did get a picture of Frank, and video of both of them!

Time was running by so fast, and there were rumors that MJ would show up on this day near closing time. He didn't though, but we all hoped that he would.
They had MJ's concert from the Bucharest tour playing on a big screen with a stage style setting so you almost felt like you were watching him in concert. A lot of fans, and curious people sat on the floor just watching Michael in amazement. You could tell he was gaining new fans right then and there!

The time had finally come, it was 6:00 pm and we had to go...awww. But we had a fabulous experience and had met Michael the night before so we were feeling pretty good.

We decided to go with a group of friends to get something to eat, and then take it with us as we headed over to Michael's place.

When we got there, it was already getting dark. It was only 4 of us there at the time.

As time went by we sat in the car cracking jokes, and talking about horror and ghost stories, scaring each other, and actually started to hallucinate thinking we were seeing things lol. As each car came back, it didn't matter where we were at in our conversation, we all just stop talking.....after we realized it wasn't Michael, we started talking back again, every car, every time, same thing lol.

We had been drinking a lot of water, and we all had to go use the restroom, so we left from Michael's place real quick and got back real quick.

By now it had been about 1 hour and a half since we first arrived there. One of our friends became a little anxious, cause she had a card that she wanted to give Michael so she decided to look through the gates to see if anyone was there.
She finally gave up, and put it under the gate, as we watched her from the car.
Suddenly the gates opened!!!

We thought, the guards were coming after our friend for a moment lol!

One fan said "omg the gates are opening!, " another fan jumped out the car, and another fan got nervous and got stuck in the car for a few seconds lol!
We didn't know what was going, all we knew was to get out the car and go by the gates. The guard nicely said "can you guys please move to the right?" So of course we did like good little soldiers.
Then all these cars started to pull up and arrive at the same time, as we became even more nervous.
There he was...Michael!
Pulling up again just like he did the night before! He moved a little faster this time, but he rolled the window down again and held every fans hand again that wanted too! This time he said "I love you!" Of course we said I love you too!!

We watched his car pull into the gates, as the guards came to give fans back some of the items Michael had signed for them. We waited a little longer just in case he came back out. There were cars coming in and out, but Michael stayed in for the night.

It was such a surreal experience, as some of us girl fans smelled their hands over and over that Michael touched lol! He smelled like baby powder and cologne to us. One thought is was the black polo cologne maybe? Anyway it was a good scent!

This was another perfect day and even more perfect night!
Michael is the best and is good to his fans, we love him!
